The market for composite decking, docking and fencing, like those manufactured by Trex®, the largest composite manufacturer, is growing at 15-20%* annually. In 1997 composites decks were 1%* of the market or a $30 million dollar* per year business. In 2008 composites increased their share to 15%*. In 2011, composites represented 45%* of the 1.1 billion dollar non-wood decking market. Some estimates expect composites to be a multi-billion dollar yearly business by 2020. This is only the beginning of what is likely to continue to be an upward trend in this rapidly expanding market.
- In 2005, decking lumber was a 3 billion dollar* industry.
- 8 million* properties in the United States have existing decks.
- 3 million* decks are built, repaired or replaced every year.
- New decks return on investement is approximately 82%!

Consumers are choosing composites because they generally require less maintenance than wood. Most do not require expensive, time consuming, painting, staining or sealing with generally toxic chemicals after cleaning. Most will not splinter, twist, check or crack and generally last longer than neglected wood materials. They generally have 10, 15, 20, 25 or limited lifetime warranties. They are perceived to be environmentally responsible because they are generally made from recycled wood fiber/flower and/or plastic. For these, and many more reasons, consumers are turning to composites to replace existing or build new decks, docks and fences.
Most composite owners are upper middle class with a disposable income. Most are eco-conscious, educated, and purchased their composite, in part, due to their environmentally responsible reputation. Most are aware of risks associated with using toxic, sodium hypochlorite containing biocides such as chlorine bleach & unscrupulous deck cleaners, products to be dangerously mixed with chlorine bleach, oxalic acid, ammonia, hydrochloric acid, phosphoric acid, phosphates, etc. cause to the environment and/or their health. Most prefer not to use polluting, toxic smelling and un-healthy chemicals whenever possible, especially if a competitvely priced, environmentally responsible alternative is available.
Composites generally require routine cleaning at least twice (2x) per year to prevent deep staining although proactive cleaning, especially if mold staining is the primary cleaning issue is highly recommended! Corte*Clean® was developed after all other brand name deck cleaners (most were designed to clean wood and re-labeled “Composite Deck Cleaner”) and other chemicals (like those listed above) did not satisfactorily resolve customer claims for a major composite manufacturer. Corte*Clean® was then developed with the help of this composite manufacturer and reputable chemical engineers with over 60+ years of combined experience to safely resolve customer claims related to all common spotting issues like those caused by mold & mildew stains, grease, oil, rust, tannin, BBQ & more.
Corte*Clean® was/is designed to be the strongest, safest, and most environmentally responsible cleaner for routinely cleaning composites. It cleans common stains without excessive cost, risks or effort. The person cleaning the composite will not need to purchase and use multiple products for specific staining issues, with all the associated risks & costs.
Corte*Clean® is recommended by leading composite manufacturers but works on all composite brands. Corte*Clean® has an 18 month shelf life when stored in a cool, dry, environment, so please don't order more than you can sell in this time period. There is approximately 4.2 billion board feet of existing composites needing to be cleaned today.
For lucrative referral business think Corte*Clean® Composite Deck, Dock & Fence Cleaner from Corte LLC. As the composite industry continues to grow, during these challenging economic times, and reach $2 billion in annual sales, consumers will increasingly need to clean their composites with a single, proven, environmentally responsible, biodegradeable, non-corrosive to structural metal product that does not have all of the potentially costly, negative effects of other cleaning chemicals.
Corte*Clean® should be included with new composite decking, docking and fencing packages. This will help educate customers of the need to clean composites whenever they deem necessary. Customers will then know what to use to clean composites and where to get it. This has been proven to eliminate costly call backs to manufacturers, distributors, retailers and contractors from composite owners.
If you are a retailer and you do buy Corte*Clean® from this website, make sure to contact Corte LLC and have your store(s) added to the "Corte-Clean® Store Locator." We GREATLY appreciate your business. Please CONTACT US if you have any questions.
As of 1/1/2011, Corte LLC has chosen to no longer sell Corte*Clean® through distributors. Retailers whom wish to continue to sell Corte*Clean® can order it directly from Corte LLC. Although this was a tough decision, we believe it is the right one for our customers, the end users. We thank all our new & loyal customers for understanding our decision.
