Corte-Clean® is the Safest, Most Powerful, Easy To Use, Cost Effective, Environmentally Responsible, Non-Toxic, Biodegradable, proven product for cleaning composite deck, dock and fence materials because it is designed and intended only for this purpose. It is not a product that was designed and intended to clean other materials such as; "wood" where the manufacturer has added "composites" to the label to sell more product or a cleaner that is not designed or intended to clean composites at all. Perhaps you have wasted valuable time and money using products that don't work for this very reason?

Corte Clean® Cleaning A Heavily Mold Stained Lowe's® ChoiceDek®. This Is What Repeated Uses Of A Sodium Hypochlorite Based Product Does To Mold Stained Composites. Notice How The Composite Is No Longer "Spoting" But Is Entirely Covered With Mold Stains. It Generally Takes Several Repeat Additional Applications Of Corte Clean® At Maximum Strength To Clean Composites In This Condition.
The recommendation and use of products intended for cleaning "wood" and other materials is the #1 issue facing the entire composite industry and unsuspecting composite owners that follow these recommendations. This is especially true when these products contain sodium hypochlorite, the active biocide in chlorine bleach and common deck cleaners recommended and used for cleaning mold, generally against these products label directions. This has lead to much frustration and aggravation for composite owners who can't get their expensive composite clean do to the mold roots growing deeper into the composites pours while becoming more resistant to the chlorine and other cleaning chemicals, exacerbating the problem. Not to worry, Corte Clean® will get the job done although it may take several re-peat applications at maximum strength.
Corte Clean® has been proven effective by customers like you (see; "Testimonials"). It has been tested and endorsed by leading eco-conscience composite manufacturers, distributors and retailers that realize its many benefits over the competition and choose to recommend our environmentally responsible, proven, choice. The following information should be carefully considered. It will help guide you to why Corte-Clean® is the best choice when used to clean an expensive, long lasting composite.

BEFORE (Mold Stained ChoiceDek®)

AFTER (Corte Cleaned)
Corte-Clean® does not contain or need to be mixed with the dangerous, toxic, polluting, un-healthy, corrosive, environmentally destructive, biocide, Sodium Hypochlorite, the active ingredient in CHLORINE BLEACH and other cleaners/deck cleaners that the United States (U.S.) Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) and the U.S. Occupational Safety & Health Administration (O.S.H.A.) DO NOT RECOMMEND FOR CLEANING MOLD, along with numerous other reputable scientific organizations (see the following "Advantages" page for links). Be aware of any retailer or chemical company selling products containing or to be mixed with this chemical for cleaning mold. The sale and use of mold cleaning products containing this chemical are commonly known as; "THE BLEACH SCAM."
Corte-Clean® does not contain polluting and/or toxic/dangerous/unhealthy chemicals. Examples are; Oxalic Acid (wood brightener/helps mold grow), Phosphates (Phosphoric Acid & TSP/helps mold grow), Ammonia or Cetyl Trimethyl Ammonium Chloride (used in competing composite cleaner that is to be mixed with chlorine bleach). You will not have the added expense or risks of intentionally, dangerously and generally illegally mixing Chlorine Bleach with any other chemicals such as; deck cleaners, ammonia containing surfactants/detergents, etc. Read the label directions on chlorine bleach containers or see EPA and OSHA information on "Advantages" page for proof.
Corte-Clean® will not pollute the air or environment beneath, around or downstream from a composite once used, there for, you won't risk the penalties associated with illegally using polluting chemicals on surfaces (porous vs. non-porous) or for purposes that are not legitimate. It is safe and legal to use for cleaning stains from composites that drain into natural waterways such as; streams, rivers, lakes, estuaries and the ocean unlike products containing sodium hypochlorite, phosphates, acids and other chemicals commonly recommended and used to clean composites.
Corte-Clean® is not a pesticide, cholinesterase inhibitor, known / probable carcinogen, reproductive or developmental intoxicant. It will be far more effective on tough composite stains than unhealthy, unproven, polluting chemicals while resolving stains that these chemicals cause or leave behind. It should not agitate breathing problems such as; bronchitis, asthma, emphysema, etc. It does not have a toxic chemical smell, there for, you will not be breathing toxic fumes that generally result in a terrible chemical head ache or worse. It will not have the potential dangers of using and potentially poisoning anything living including; yourself, your family, friends, children, the elderly, employees, pets (dogs, cats & birds), or wildlife. Once used it will not off-gas toxins or have a, toxic, lingering, un-pleasant, un-healthy, nauseating smell.

Before Corte Cleaning, Extremely Neglected, Mold Stained Correct Deck®
Stains caused by MOLD start out as generally black spots and is common on composites and most other exterior building materials. Mold stains are easy to remove when first noticed. The longer mold is allowed receive moisture and root deeper into a composite, the more expense and time it will take to clean due to the need to repeat the Corte Clean® application process at maximum strength. It generally takes two (2) applications of Corte Clean® at maximum strength to clean mold stains, therefor, enough product is provided in each Corte Clean® container to do approximately two (2) repeat applications. The smaller container of Corte Clean® cleans approximately 300 square feet of composite at maximum strength and the larger container cleans approximately 600 square feet with two (2) repeat applications. If the composite you intend to clean has been neglected or you have previously used products that are scientifically proven to exacerbate mold growth, such as sodium hypochlorite containing biocides like chlorine bleach, it may take several additional repeat applications of Corte Clean® to thoroughly clean the composite.

Corte Cleaning But Still Needs Repeat Application(s) Until No Mold Stains Can Be Seen Or Mold Will Likely Immediately Return When Composite Receives Moisture!
You can tell when a composite is thoroughly Corte Cleaned when you can no longer see stains when the composite is wet or dry. If you can still see mold stains when the composite is wet or dry, the mold stains will almost immediately return if they are still living! Make sure you thoroughly Corte Clean® the composite otherwise you are wasting time and money.
Mold stains will not return to a new thoroughly Corte Cleaned composite, can't see stains when composite is wet or dry, until new mold spores (seeds) land on the composite surface and receive moisture such as rain, humidity, dew, fog, etc. Mold stains will likely return to a thoroughly Corte Cleaned composite when microscopic mold spores land on a composite and receive moisture. For when mold stains are likely to occur in your area/geography, please see the following Weather Channel links for: "Mold Spores" & "National Forecast."
Mildew stains are a white & sometimes gray silky coating on composites. These stains are not nearly as common as those caused by mold. Corte Clean® will easily clean Mildew stains. Mold & Mildew growth or re-growth and the stains that result are considered an "Act Of Nature."

Trex® Mold Stains Before

Corte Cleaned.
Corte LLC does not claim that Corte Clean® "PREVENTS" Mold & Mildew stains from re-occurring. Corte LLC has not found any product or products that prevent mold or other fungus stains from re-occurring on composites. Most only delay fungus re-growth until they are rinsed from the surface and are not worth the additional money to purchase and time/hassle to apply. They can also be toxic/unhealthy to anything living, breathing their fumes or walking with bare skin on the composites surface. If you choose to use one of these products after Corte Cleaning, carefully read and follow these products label directions. Like sodium hypochlorite containing products, most can not legally be used on exterior composites that drain into natural waterways because they destroy eco-systems, pollute and are unhealthy. Most are only approved for use "IN" buildings where they do not pose risks to our environment or on "NON-POROUS SURFACES." Always carefully read any products label directions before purchasing and using them. For these reasons and the fact that most sealers exacerbate Mold staining problems on composites by sealing in the mold with the moisture it needs to exacerbate itself in composites, Corte LLC does not currently recommend any "Sealers" or "Preventative" products.
The easiest and most cost effective way to keep your composite clean and free of MOLD & MILDEW stains is to Corte Clean® the composite prior to it receiving moisture (See Corte Clean® "FAQ" for what has been proven effective). By the time you see MOLD & MILDEW stains, it is to late! The spores (mold seeds) have already hatched, lived, caused the stains and died (if the composite has thoroughly dried out) while releasing millions if not billions of new spores to cause new stains where they land and receive moisture, exacerbating the problem.

BEFORE (Deep Stains Caused By Mold)

AFTER (Corte Cleaned)
For all other common stains not resulting from MOLD & MILDEW, it is important to immediately spot clean these stains when noticed after the composite has been thoroughly Corte Cleaned. The longer one waits to clean these stains, the more time, effort and money/expense (Corte Clean®) they generally require to clean. Save yourself the the added cost and effort be pro-active and routinely Corte Clean® your composite at least twice per year, SPRING & FALL or whenever stains first appear, especially if they are caused by mold!.
You will not need to worry about Corte-Clean® causing rust stains or it being corrosive to structural metal fasteners (screws or nails) and connectors supporting and holding most composites together, like when using other corrosive cleaning chemicals, such as those that contain sodium hypochlorite, that will likely lead to expensive early replacement or dangerous and potentially costly failure. See: Corrosion warnings on any chlorine bleach or other sodium hypochlorite containing products label directions, then see Simpson Strong-Tie® & USP® corrosion links on the "Advantages" page for links.
Corte-Clean® will not kill your lawn or plants surrounding your composite when used in accordance with our step by step bilingual (English/Spanish) directions. It cleans without the expense of buying and labor applying up to four (4+) other cleaners for specific staining issues. Corte Clean® will save you time, money, frustration and aggravation.
Corte-Clean® has almost a 100% success rate. Corte-Clean® ONLY FAILS when our customers DO NOT read and following its label directions/instructions or have enough Corte Clean® to clean the intended square footage. If the person cleaning the composite does not read and follow the Corte-Clean® label directions, it is likely that the owner of the composite may not be satisfied with the results. However, Corte LLC does guarantee Corte Clean® 100% when used properly by following the Corte-Clean® label directions. If you have any questions regarding the use of Corte Clean® make sure you contact Corte LLC. We do not want any customer to be dissatisfied with the results of Corte Clean®.
Imagine the positive impact it would have if every composite manufacturer and retailer made the simple choice to only recommend environmentally responsible, proven, Corte-Clean® to resolve all common staining issues. Imagine if every composite owner only choose to use environmentally responsible products instead of toxic, polluting, dangerous chemicals. Imagine how much better off our environment would be today and for future generations. Fortunately, you have the choice and we hope you will choose Corte-Clean® for cleaning your composite deck, dock or fence.
