WARNING! Corte*Clean® does NOT contain & should not be expensively/dangerously/illegally MIXED with CHLORINE BLEACH or other chemicals. It does NOT have all the risks, environmental impacts, CO$T$, corrosion issues with structural metal, health issues related to breathing poisonous, debilitating chlorine and other known liabilities of using SODIUM HIPOCHLORITE based BIOCIDES for cleaning outdoor composites, especially when it comes to cleaning mold stains! It does not contain other polluting and/or dangerous chemicals such as Oxalic Acid, Phosphoric Acid, Acetone, Ammonia, Phosphates or Cetyltrimethylammonium Chloride. Are you aware of the potential penalties if caught using chemicals for purposes or on surfaces (porous vs. non-porous) that are not legitimate? Examples: Using Chlorine Bleach based biocides to clean mold against EPA & OSHA recommendations, letting corrosive chemicals come into contact with structural metal, against structural metal manufacturer recommendations or letting polluting chemicals drain from composites into natural waterways such as streams, rivers, lakes, estuaries or the ocean, regardless of who recommends or sells these products? Are you aware of the true potential costs of purchasing and using sodium hypochlorite & multiple other chemicals to clean specific staining issues from composites, especially if caught polluting, if structural decking hardware failure occurs or one breaths toxic fumes resulting in injury or worse due to semi-annual (Spring and Fall) cleanings? If not, keep on reading. It may shock you that chemical manufacturers, retailers and composite manufacturers continue to ignore these facts while putting composite owners, family's, pets, wildlife & our environment at risk!
Corte*Clean® is the safest, most powerful, easy to use, cost effective environmentally responsible, non-toxic, biodegradable, proven product for cleaning & routinely maintaining composite deck, dock & fence materials to prevent deep stains. This is because it is designed and intended only for this purpose. It is not a product that was designed & intended to clean other materials such as "wood" or "non-porous" materials of "mildew" stains, a very specific species of mold. Unfortunately, some cleaner manufacturers have added "composites" to label directions to sell more products even though they know these products will only bleach out common black, deeply rooted, mold stains from composites and not remove the spores (mold seeds), traped in the pours of most composites, resulting in imediate re-growth and the return of stains? Perhaps you have wasted your valuable time & money using products that don't work for this very reason while causing much damage to the composite, structure supporting the composite, your health and the environment, while exacerbating the problem?

BEFORE - Mold Stained Home Depot® Veranda® AFTER - Corte Cleaned

Corte*Clean® has been proven effective by customers like you. It has been tested & endorsed by leading composite manufacturers, distributors & retailers who realize its many benefits over the competition. The information on this web site should be carefully considered. It will help guide you to why Corte*Clean® is the best, lowest cost, choice when used to routinely clean an expensive, long lasting composite.
Corte*Clean® does not contain or need to be expensively/dangerously/illegally mixed with the toxic, polluting, un-healthy, corrosive, environmentally destructive biocide chlorine bleach. Be aware of any manufacturer, retailer or chemical company selling products containing or to be mixed with this chemical for cleaning black mold from "porous" surfaces. The sale & use of "mold" cleaning products, containing this biocide, are commonly known as "THE BLEACH SCAM."
Perhaps you have noticed how products containing sodium hypochlorite generally never work to clean black mold stains in grout, in-between tiles, generally found in bathrooms, not white & sometimes gray silky looking "mildew" as generally stated on these products label directions, always rapidly returns? This is because products containing sodium hypochlorite are scientifically proven to exacerbate mold growth. See Oregon State Scientific Study.

A Heavily Mold Stained ChoiceDek®
Corte*Clean® cleaning a heavily mold stained Lowe's® ChoiceDek®. Notice how the composite is no longer spotting but is entirely covered with mold stains due to the repeated previous use of sodium hypochlorite based biocides. This is because products containing this chemical only bleach the stain out and do not generally, effectively remove it, exacerbating the problem.
The irresponsible recommendation and use of products that contain sodium hypochlorite, the active biocide in chlorine bleach, that were generally designed and intended for cleaning "wood" or "non-porous" and/or other materials like non-porous vinyl siding of "mildew" stains is the number one issue facing the entire composite industry & unsuspecting composite owners that follow these recommendations. Unfortunately, this has frustrated composite owners who can't get their composite clean, & routinely keep them clean, without destroying the metal structures supporting & holding togeather most composites. Are you aware that the structural metal manufacturers, used to support & holding togeather most composites, don't recommend the use of corrosive cleaning chemicals?
Corrosive to structural metal chlorine bleach or other sodium hypochlorite based biocides are almost always routinely recommended and used against the products label directions when used to clean common black mold stains from composites, especially when these products are used to clean porous composites and clearly state "for non-porous surfaces only" or are rinsed from composites and allowed to drain into natural waterways such as "streams, rivers, lakes, estuaries or the ocean."
Products that contain biocides, such as "sodium hypochlorite", label directions often repeat federal law. This is why reputable products that contain sodium hypochlorite label directions state "Mildew", then define mildew as a specific subspecies of mold and clearly state "It is a violation of Federal Law to use this product in a manner inconsistent with its labeling. Do not use this product in full strength for cleaning surfaces. Always dilute strictly in accordance with label directions" & "DO NOT allow product or rinse water to enter storm drains, lakes, streams or other bodies of water." Carefully read any reputable chlorine bleach label directions for proof.

AFTER - Corte-Cleaned
Composite owners should be extremely cautious of products that contain sodium hypochlorite & Cetyl Trimethyl Ammonium Chloride (Cetyltrimethylammonium Chloride, also called; Hexadecyltrimethylammonium Chloride)! These two chemicals should never be used to clean composites because sodium hypochlorite, a strong oxidizing agent, mixed with Cetyltrimethylammonium Chloride, results in the rapid off-gassing of poisonous, chlorine fumes, resulting in short shelf life, while causing accelerated corrosion to structural metal holding together & supporting most composites! When rinsed from composites, & illegally allowed to drain into natural waterways, such as streams, rivers, lakes, estuaries or the ocean, these chemicals are extremely toxic to aquatic organisms, causing long term adverse effects in aquatic environments, that destroys eco-systems!
Other deck cleaners that contain the pestacide oxalic acid are for brightening wood fibers of tannin stains and removing rust stains that sodium hypochlorite based or mixed with products causes to structural metal. Neither of these expensive, toxic, dangerous chemicals generally removes grease & oil stains so a third (3rd) product is generally needed to be expensively purchased and used to remove these extremely common stain.
Be extremely careful if you choose to use sodium hypochlorite, then oxalic acid! These chemicals should never be intentionally or accidently mixed! They release poisonous chlorine gas! Unfortunately, this almost always occurs on porous composites and results in a lingering, unhealthy chlorine smell for weeks after these chemicals have been used! This smell is extremely umplesant and unhealthy.
Much frustration has been experienced by composite owners who can't get their expensive composite routinely, thoroughly clean, when using these three (3) products! Not to worry, eco-responsible Corte*Clean® will get the job done without all the cost or risks of purchasing & using these other chemicals.
Mold Stained ChoiceDek®
Phosphates promote plant & algae growth (water molds commonly convienantly confused with lichens or mosses), which then die, increasing bacteria counts. As bacteria feast on the dead plants & algae, they reduce the amount of oxygen available in water bodies such as streams, rivers, lakes, estuaries or the ocean for other wildlife, destroying eco-systems. Because of these facts, phosphates should never be used to clean composites!
By purchasing and using Corte*Clean®, you will not be taking the risk of accidently or intentionally mixing toxic chemicals and releasing poisonous gas!!! (Example: accidently mixing sodium hypochlorite with oxalic acid, ammonia, etc.) You won't risk the penalties associated with illegally using polluting chemicals that are not legitimate. It is safe for cleaning mold & mildew stains from composites that drain into natural waterways such as streams, rivers, lakes, estuaries or the ocean.

After one Corte-Clean® application.
Corte*Clean® is not a pesticide, known probable carcinogen, reproductive or developmental intoxicant. Its use is far more effective on tough composite stains than unhealthy, unproven, polluting chemicals while cleaning stains that these chemicals cause or leave behind. It should not agitate breathing problems such as bronchitis, asthma, emphysema, etc. like products that contain sodium hypochlorite. It does not have a toxic chemical smell. You will not be breathing toxic fumes that generally result in a terrible chemical headache or worse. It will not have the potential dangers of using and potentially poisoning anything living including yourself, your family, friends, children, the elderly, employees, pets (dogs, cats & birds), or wildlife when following its label directions. Once used it will not off-gas toxins or have a lingering, toxic, unpleasant, unhealthy, nauseating smell.

You will not need to worry about Corte*Clean® causing rust stains or it being corrosive to structural metal fasteners (screws or nails) and connectors supporting and holding most composites together. The use of corrosive cleaning chemicals, such as those that contain or are mixed with sodium hypochlorite, will likely lead to expensive early replacement or dangerous and potentially costly failure that can result in injury or death!!! Corte*Clean® will not kill lawns or plants surrounding composites when used in accordance with the step by step, bilingual, Corte*Clean® label directions. It cleans without the expense and labor of buying and applying multiple cleaners for specific staining issues. Corte*Clean® will save you time, money and aggravation when routinely used.

Neglected Mold Stained ChoiceDek®
It generally takes two (2) "repeat" applications of Corte*Clean® at "maximum strength" to clean composite stains. Enough Corte*Clean® is provided in each bag to do two (2) "repeat" applications at "maximum strength." A bag of Corte*Clean® is designed to clean approximately 300 square feet of composite at "maximum strength." If the composite intended to be cleaned has been neglected or previously cleaned with unproven products, additional "repeat" Corte*Clean® applications may be necessary, requiring the purchase and use of additional Corte*Clean®.
Save yourself the added cost & effort. Be pro-active and routinely Corte*Clean® your composite at least twice (2X) per year! Spring & fall are generally best due to mild temperatures between 65-85 degrees F. If Corte*Clean® is proactively used, one (1) bag is designed to proactively clean approximately 500 square feet composites, with one (1) application, twice (2x) per year. Before it rains or the composite receives moisture. This will prevent the build-up of pollen and other debris that can support the growth of mold & stains that result. This is all that is generally needed to keep composites clean and looking their best. Note: Areas that are known for mold and receive routine moisture may require to be maintained more often (EXAMPLE: Spring, Summer, Fall & Winter) while areas that receive no moisture may only need to be cleaned once per year. It depends on how one uses their composite, the climate & weather, and personal preference.

Corte Cleaned ChoiceDek®
Imagine the positive impact it would have if every composite manufacturer and retailer made the simple choice to only routinely recommend environmentally responsible, proven, cost effective Corte*Clean® to resolve all common staining issues. Imagine if every composite owner choose to only use environmentally responsible products instead of expensive, toxic, polluting, corrosive, dangerous, and generally illegal chemicals. Imagine how much better off our environment would be today and for future generations.
Unfortunately, some manufacturers choose to routinely recommend the pollution of our planet by recommending polluting chemicals. It is any persons guess as to how many gallons of these toxic chemicals end up being rinsed from composites into natural waterways & destroy eco-systems. Perhaps you are a hunter or fisherman that has seen the decline in species due to pollution? Fortunately composite owners have that choice, and we hope you will choose Corte*Clean® for cleaning your composite deck, dock or fence.

Corte*Clean® ONLY FAILS when our customers DO NOT read & follow its label directions/instructions or do not have enough Corte*Clean® to clean the intended square footage. If the person cleaning the composite does not read & follow the Corte*Clean® label directions, it is likely that the owner of the composite may not be satisfied with the results. However, Corte LLC does guarantee Corte*Clean® when used properly by following the Corte*Clean® label directions. If you have any questions regarding the use of Corte*Clean® make sure you
contact Corte LLC. We do not want any customer to be dissatisfied with the results of Corte*Clean®.
