Cort*Clean® Composite Deck Dock & Fence Cleaner
The 2000A Corte*Clean® bag is designed to proactively & routinely clean *approximately 500 Square Feet if used at the 2.5 or 3 SCOOP (4oz scoop measuring device provided) or 1 to 1.5 US Cup of Corte*Clean® powder per gallon of water strength. This strength is for routinely, proactively maintaining composites from the time they are new to prevent stains and should not be used for removing mold stains or other difficult to remove stains.
There is enough Corte*Clean® in each bag to proactively/routinely clean approximately 500 Square Feet, twice (2X) per year. Spring & Fall is best or before the composites receive moisture! Proactively & routinely cleaning composites takes the least amount of time, cost & effort. Composites may need to be proactively cleaned more or less often depending on how they are used, the environment in which they are located and how often they receive moisture. EXAMPLE: Dry climates may need to be cleaned once to twice per year while areas that receive routine moisture may need to be proactively & routinely cleaned three to four times per year (Spring, Summer, Fall & Winter).
The 2000A Corte*Clean® bag will clean *approximately 300 Square Feet if used at the MAXIMUM STRENGTH of 4 TO 5 SCOOPS or 2 to 2.5 US Cups per gallon of water to clean mold stains (black spots) or other difficult to remove stains when they are first noticed. Composites generally require TWO (2) REPEAT applications at MAXIMUM STRENGTH to get clean when stains are first noticed, there for, enough Corte*Clean® is provided in each bag to do approximately two (2) repeat applications.
Composites that have been neglected may need additional repeat applications to remove deeply rooted stains, especially if sodium hypochlorite has been previously routinely used. Keep in mind, the longer one procrastinates properly, thoroughly Corte Cleaning composites, the more expense and time it generally takes. What does this mean with Corte*Clean®? Repeat applications at maximum strength until the composite is thoroughly clean and the Corte*Clean is no longer becoming dirty or discolored.
If this is your first time using Corte*Clean®, unfortunately, you will likely need to purchase twice as much to thoroughly remove mold stains or other difficult to remove stains. Example: To clean a neglected mold stained 300 Square Foot composite, one will likely need two (2) bags of Corte*Clean® so up to four (4) repeat applications can be done at maximum strength to thoroughly remove the mold stains. Note: 6’ railing sections generally require approximately 75 square feet of Corte*Clean®, 8’ railing sections generally require approximately 100 square feet of Corte*Clean®.
Once the composite is thoroughly Corte Cleaned, and the Corte*Clean® is no longer becoming dirty or discolored, the Corte*Clean® can be diluted and allowed to dry on weathered composites. This will result in the white Corte*Clean® residue remaining on the composite until thoroughly rinsed. Corte*Clean® is designed to soak into the porous surface of most composites & continue to clean any time it receives moisture until it is thoroughly rinsed. This has been proven in keeping composite clean for longest amount of time. Always thoroughly rinse any remaining Corte*Clean® prior to allowing bare skin, children, pets, animals, or any person on the composite. When the composite is not being used, it is best to re-apply another coat of Corte*Clean®, especially before the composite receives moisture, and let the rain, morning dew, snow, ice, etc. naturally rinse it.
Please do not order too much Corte*Clean® unless you will be using it but make sure you have enough to thoroughly Corte*Clean® the composite, especially if mold staining is the primary issue. The fresher Corte*Clean® is, like most cleaning products, the better it will work. This is why Corte*Clean® has a "Best If Used By" date on every bag.
One is much better to purchase Corte*Clean® when they need it, rather than to store it. Always store Corte*Clean® out of direct sunlight in a dry, cool area! It is recommended to store Corte*Clean® indoors in a climate controlled area below 80 degrees F. Failure to properly store Corte*Clean® result in loss of strength & the product not performing optimally. It is not recommended to store Corte*Clean® in garages or outdoor sheds.
